Detective Lieutenant Angie Weeks
Lt. Weeks was born and raised in Kansas. In 1995, she moved to Junction City, where she made Junction City her permanent home. On January 2, 2002 Lt. Weeks began her career in Law Enforcement with the Geary County Sheriff’s Office as a Patrol Deputy. On February 3, 2004, she was promoted to Detective and assigned to work narcotics investigations with the Junction City/Geary County Drug Operations Group. During her time with the Junction City/Geary County Drug Operations Group, Lt. Weeks was awarded the Kansas Narcotics Officer’s Association member of the year for 2006 after a successful conviction of a multi-jurisdictional drug ring. In 2009 Lt. Weeks was awarded a Mark of Excellence award by the City of Junction City for her participation in a drug investigation that lead to solving and the successful conviction in a murder investigation. In 2013, Weeks was given two Bronze Awards from the Chiefs of Police Association for exceptional Police service and the President’s Award from the Sheriff’s Association. Also in 2013, Weeks was promoted to Lieutenant by the Sheriff Tony Wolf. After over 13 years in the Junction City/Geary County Drug Operations Group, Lt. Weeks transferred to the Investigations Division in April of 2017.
Lt. Weeks resides in Junction City where she has raised two daughters. Lt. Weeks enjoys spending her free time with her daughters and attending Kansas City Chiefs football games. During the summer Lt. Weeks enjoys spending time at Milford Lake with her daughters and the many friends she has gained while residing in Junction city.
