Sheriff Nate Boeckman

 

Sheriff Boeckman was born and raised in Kansas, and has been a resident of Geary County since 2006.  In November of 2024, Sheriff Boeckman was elected Sheriff to serve the people of Geary County, after a long and successful career at the Riley County Police Department.  Sheriff Boeckman began his career at the Riley County Police Department in 2003, following his graduation from Kansas State University.  During his career in Law Enforcement, Sheriff Boeckman served the community in various roles, including Patrol Officer, Master Police Officer, Patrol Sergeant, Investigations Sergeant, Police Training Officer, Criminal Case Detective, Special Investigations Unit Detective, Repeat Offender Program Investigator, DEA Task Force Officer, Emergency Response Unit Operator, and Certified MP5 Rifle Instructor.  Prior to his retirement from Riley County Police Department, Sheriff Boeckman was the Supervisor of the Criminal Intelligence Unit.  In this role, he oversaw the collection, analysis, and dissemination of critical information to support law enforcement operations throughout the region.

Throughout his career, Sheriff Boeckman has strived to maintain strong and positive relationships with all, which has become a focus of his current capacity in the service to his community.  Sheriff Boeckman is heavily involved in the community, which transcends throughout the Sheriff’s Office.  The foundation of Sheriff Boeckman’s leadership is grounded in the following principles:
